Jessie & Carissa Continued

Jessie- "Don't beat yourself up about it.  He'll live."

 

Carissa's cellphone vibrates.

Carissa- "I should take this.  Excuse me."

 

She walks over to the side and answers the phone.

"Oliver, I'm-"

Oliver- "Carissa, I've called you 4 times!  What happened?  Where are you?!"

Carissa- "Oliver, I'm sorry, but it was just too much for me.  So, I made the decision to leave.  Please give your mother my apologies."

He hands up on her.

Carissa- "Oh perfect."

 

She walks back over to the bar.

Jessie hands her a menu- "Here, it's on the house.  Be right back."

 

Carissa looks over the menu, while Jessie takes care of a customer.

Jessie- "So, what's it gonna be?"

Carissa- "The turkey burger sounds good."

 

Jessie puts in her order and returns to the bar.

Jessie- "Can I get you another drink?"

Carissa- "Yeah, I'll take water."

Jessie smiles- "Good idea, I like these shoes."

Carissa smiles- "That's just wrong, Jessie.  That was so long ago."

Jessie- "I couldn't help it."

 

The cook calls from the kitchen- "Order up!"  Jessie grabs it.

 

Carissa eats her burger, chats with Jessie and begins to feel much better.  Hours later, she goes

to play a round of pool.

 

 

And a little after 4 in the morning (the bar has closed)...

 

 

This happened.
