Carissa dress shops for her upcoming date

Carissa comes into Elle La La straight from the hospital, looking for something cute to wear for her blind date later in the evening.

 

Carissa- "What about something like this?"

Halle- "Depends, where you two going?"

Carissa- "Dinner and if everything goes well, coffee in the morning."

Halle- "Oh goodness! Please don't, it's considered a bad move."

Carissa- "He could be the one."

Halle- "Then you definitely shouldn't."

Halle- "It's great to be optimistic, maybe not too eager.  You don't want to scare him off."

Carissa- "Yeah, you're probably right.  Ugh, I need a dating handbook."

Halle- "Just go with the flow and you'll be fine.  Don't be so hard on yourself, remember he needs to impress you as well."

Halle- "Oh!  Should I dare say it?"

Carissa- "What's that?"

Halle- "The bottle."

Carissa- "Don't worry, I've put myself on a one glass max."

Halle- "Cool, we wouldn't want history to repeat itself."

Carissa- "Poor Jessie.  I surely did scare him off."

Halle- "How about this one?"

Carissa- "Ooo!  I like that.  Love the lace, very sexy."

Carissa- "Maybe, I should give him a call."

Halle- "Well, he's..."

Carissa- "He's what?"

Halle- "...It's not important", turning back to look through the dresses.

Halle- "Here's another nice one, these just came in."

Carissa- "Very nice.  I'm going to try that one too."

Carissa- "He's in a serious relationship, isn't he?"

Halle- "Umm...well...something like that."  After a few moments, "He's getting married."

Carissa- "Wow!  That's pretty serious.  Well, good for them."

Carissa- "I'll take those."

Halle- "Carissa, please don't let this ruin your date."

Carissa- "Please! I'm totally fine.  We were never in a relationship, we had one dinner and that was it."

 

She turns and quickly grabs another dress from the rack.

Carissa- "I'll try this one too."

Halle- "Is this your first time in New York?"

Ms. Alina- "Yes and I'm already in love!"

Belinda- "Speaking of love, Liv tells me you're newly married?"

Halle- *grin* "I am."

 

Belinda- "Well, congratulations sweetheart!"

Halle- "Thank you!"

Ms. Alina- "Kids anytime soon?!"

 

Naava- "That's a great question."

 

Halle- "Well, we're not in a hurry to have kids right now, maybe a little further down the road."

Lisa- "Alex, it's time to seriously start focusing on your career and getting yourself situated.  You're not getting any younger."

Alex- "Well, I guess this isn't the best time to ask for a loan."

Alicia- "What do you think?"

Mrs. Silverstein- "It's nice, however I'm not blown away if that's what you're asking."

Olivia- "How are you two doing over here?!"

Belinda- "Just fine!  This is the cutest little place, we'll have to come back to do some shopping before we leave town."

Ms. Alina- "I second that!  And we'll have to hit up one of those night clubs too!"

Belinda- "Oh boy, here we go."

Carissa- "Maybe I should try speed dating!"

Halle- "What ever happened with your blind date?"

 

Carissa- "Our schedules keep conflicting!  We may never have that dinner and that's too bad, he sounds like such a nice guy."

Melissa- "The girls are good.  How's Tony?"

Nicole- "He's okay, just been working.  Nothing new going on."

Dean- "It's nice to meet you, Tiffany."

Tiffany- "You too."

 Party Goer- "Oh my gosh!  This is so awesome, are you like hiring right now?"

Halle- "Not at the moment, but you can fill out an application and I'll keep it on file."

Talia- "You're a photographer?  That sounds like a fun job."

Keith- "Yeah, it is.  I've been doing it for over five years now."

Brandy watches from the distance.

 

Lisa- *smile* "So, are you being good to my daughter?"

Dean- "I would like to think so."

Cindy- "Alicia, thanks for reaching out to me.  I absolutely adore this shop!"

Alicia- "Of course!  Thanks so much for coming out."

Tiffany- "Have you met Halle's husband?"

Carra- "What a looker, huh?!  Was not expecting that!"

Many hours later, the party is coming to an end and most of the guests have left.

Halle- "I'm really happy that you came."

Melissa- "So am I, I had a great time."

Halle- "How about lunch this week?"

 

Melissa- "I would love that."

The party has now come to an end.

Dean- "Are you ready to go home?"

Halle- "Not just yet.  Still have to clean up, then we can go."

 

Dean- "We'll lend a hand."

Alicia- "Pretty good turnout, don't you think?"

Halle- "Yes.  Thanks for all your help."

Alicia- "Well, the job isn't done, there are some fashion insiders here that I'll be talking to."

Olivia- "You know we wouldn't miss it."

Melissa- "Congratulations.  Love the design, well done."

 

Carissa- "I agree, everything looks amazing.  You should give yourself a raise!"

Cindy- "I just want to say what a wonderful shop you have here and this just might become one of my new favorite places."

Halle- "That would be great.  Our doors are always open."

Mrs. Silverstein- "The boutique is smaller than I expected, but you've managed to make it work."

Halle- "Me and my team put a lot of hard work into this place and I'm more than happy with the outcome."

Mrs. Silverstein- "Well, that's nice."

Halle- "Are you all enjoying yourselves?"

Lisa- "We most certainly are!"

Michael- "Good job honey."

 

Naava- "Your shop is lovely."

Halle- "Thank you, it's nice to see both of you here."

Halle- "Hey there fellas."
Joshua- "Hi Halle, cool place."

Dean- "So, you're the owner of this place?"

 

Halle- "That's right.  Looking for a job?"

Dean- "As long as it involves working closely with the owner."

Halle- *smile* "We'll talk."

Carissa- "I mean, it just seems so much harder to date out here."

Nicole- "Please!  That's anywhere."

Brandy- "It's nice to see you again too, Alex."

Alex- "How are things?"

Brandy- "Never been better."

Halle- "Good for you."

Alex- "Probably better for Clark."

Halle- "Not the place."

Brandy- "Do you have no boundaries?  You're at a public place for goodness sake!"

 

Brandy- "For your information, I know about your short stay with my husband.  Now he's back home, where he should be."

 

 

Alex- "Wow, you got him to fess up to that, good for you."

Brandy- "I did!"

Alex- "Well, that's a step in the right direction."

 

Halle- "I'm glad you guys are working things out."

Brandy- "Thank you.  We could really use some date time, how about we double?"

Michael- "Yeah, I play poker.  Looking for another player?"

 

Miles- "How about it?"

Michael- "I'm in."

Melissa grabs another drink.

Olivia- "Yep, I'm selling off my business."

Alicia- "So, what are your new plans?"

Olivia- "To relax."
