Halle Arrives Home

She puts on dinner.

 

Then calls her parents to say hello and see how they're doing.

 

When Halle's off the phone, she decides to whip up a cake for dessert.

 

Halle's stirring away and humming some tones when Dean gets home.

Dean- "Babe, I'm home."

Dean- "Hey."

Halle jumps- "Oh goodness!  Dean, you scared me."

Dean leans in to kiss her- "Sorry, I didn't mean to."

 

Dean- "Looks like you're having fun."

Halle smiles- "I am."

Dean- "Anything I can do?"

 

Halle- "Nope, I got it covered.  But, you can tell me about your day."

 

Dean takes a seat.  Halle gets the cake in the oven, checks on the food

 

 

And listens as Dean talks about his day.  Then she shares hers.

 

Later they sit down to eat.

 

 

Their dinner conversation is about current events.

 

After the meal...

 

Dean- "I'll clear the table."

Halle- "Thanks sweetie.  I'm gonna run a bath."

 

Halle goes upstairs to fill the tub.  When it's full, she gets settled into the bubble bath.

 

 

Dean joins her moments later.

 

After their bath, they pack for tomorrow's trip and then go to bed.

Another Look

Halle steps back into her office and take a moment to check her email.

 

 

She comes across one from Keisha (realtor) giving her and Dean, which she copied, a generous reminder about the house they viewed months earlier.  Letting them know that it's near completion and will be hitting the market very soon.  So, if they were interested in taking one more look she's available.

 

Halle's cell phone vibrates.

 

She grabs it and smiles.

Halle- "I just read it."

Dean- "What do you think?"

Halle- "Let's take another look."

 

Dean- "It's eleven now, do you think you can get away at two?"

Halle- "I'll meet you there."

Dean- "I'll call Keisha."

Halle- "Okay.  Love you."

Dean- "Love you too."

 

 

It's a little after 2 when Halle arrives at the property.

 

Dean and Keisha are waiting outside.

 

 

Quick Note: This is more of an update on the house that I've been building with the gracious help from my brother and husband.  There are still trimmings to do, windows, doors, finishing the kitchen, bathroom, closet and so on.  But, we're getting there. :D

 

They greet each other and enter the house...

On the right is the living room.  And that standing wood piece is where the fireplace will be.

They enter the kitchen.

They then take a few steps up to the attic.  Dean still loves that space.

Back downstairs, they take a look at the back yard.  And with that Keisha gives them a moment to talk.

 

Halle turns to Dean immediately.

Halle- "I loooove it!"

Dean- *grin* "Then let's get it."

Halle- *huge grin* "Oh gosh!  We're gonna have a home!"

She plants a kiss.

Dean- *grin* "Welcome home."

 

They speak with Keisha and she gets the paperwork filed.  They should be moving in within 4-6 weeks.  And Keisha has also agreed to sell their condo.

Checking out the Townhouse

Keisha is waiting outside when Halle and Alex arrive.

 

Halle- "Hi Keisha, this is my sister Alex."

Keisha- "Hello Alex, nice to meet you."

Alex- "You too."

 

Halle- "Thanks for meeting with us on such short notice."

Keisha- "Anytime."

Keisha continues- "Like I said on the phone, the sellers are very eager, so if you're happy with the house and would like to make an offer, they're more than willing to negotiate."

"So, you guys go on in and have a good look around and I'll see you in a bit."

Halle and Alex- "Thank you."

Alex- "Not bad."

Halle- "A washer and dryer.  Always a major plus."

Alex- "Thank goodness."

Halle- "Wow, this is a really nice space.  Cute and cozy."

Halle continues- "I like it already.  It suits you."

 

Alex- "Me too, although the kitchen is kinda small."

Halle- *smile* "Umm, who are you kidding?  You're not much of a cook anyways."

Alex- *smile* "Well, I can't argue with that."

"Alrighty!  Now here is the real plus."

Halle- "Very nice."

Alex- "Come, let's see what's upstairs."

Halle- "What do you think?"

Alex- "Decent size.  It works."

Alex- "Hmmm, this will be the first thing to go, though."

Alex- "This is a little small, but then again, I don't need more than a bed up here."

Halle- "So, how do you feel about this place?"

Alex- "I like it a lot.  And the local is a plus too."

Halle- "Well, let's call dad."

Alex- "Oh boy."

Alex pulls out her phone and their father, Michael, picks up on the second ring- "Hey honey."

Alex- "Hey dad.  Umm, I found a place."

Michael- "Where is it and how much?"

Alex- "Upper East Side and 479.5."

Michael's silent on the other end.

 

Alex- "Dad?"

Michael- "I'm here honey.  It's negotiable, I'm sure?"

Alex- "Of course."

Halle- "Hi daddy, the sellers are very eager, so we might be able to cut it down a great deal."

Michael- "Hi honey, well go in at 439 and Alex don't forget our deal."

Alex- "I haven't and will do."

Michael- "Okay, let me know how it goes.  Love you girls."

Halle and Alex- "Love you too."

 

Alex- "Well, let's go find Keisha."

 

They meet up with Keisha in the kitchen and give her the offer.

Keisha- "Okay, let me give them a call and see what they have to say.  Do you have time to wait?  It shouldn't be too long."

Alex- "Sure."

 

35 minutes later

Alex- "What's taking so long?  I think dad went in too low."

Halle- "I don't think so and stop worrying."

Alex- "What can I say, I fell in love with this place."

Keisha walks back in- "They have accepted your offer!"

Alex- "Say what?!"

Halle- "That's great!"

 

Halle- "Thanks Keisha."

Alex- "Yeah thanks a lot."

Keisha- "My pleasure."

 

They talk for a few more minutes and setup a place and time to get the paperwork signed.
