Amber Needs A Favor

Halle has just gotten off the phone, ordering new inventory, when Amber walks into her office.

Amber- "Hey Halle, I'm sorry for showing up like this."

Halle- "That's okay.  Are you feeling better?"

Amber- "No, I was hoping you could do me a favor."
Halle- "What's that?"

Amber- "Give me a job?"

Halle- "Oh, I'm-"

Amber- *starts to cry* "This is so humiliating.  Why would he ruin everything?!"

Halle- "Amber, please don't cry, everything will be fine."

Amber- "I won't sign!...or maybe I should."
Halle- "Have you gone over the prenup with your lawyer?"

Amber- "No..."
Halle- "Maybe you should do that before making a final decision."

Amber- "I can do that."
Halle- "Good."

Halle- "Now, do you have any experience as an assistant?"

Amber- "I'm a fast learner."
Halle- "Well, things have gotten a bit busy around here and I could really use one."

Amber- "I'm your girl."

Halle- "Welcome to the team."

A Boutique Makeover

Things at the boutique have been going pretty well.  So, when a business retired next door after forty wonderful years, Halle got excited with the idea of possibly expanding her shop.

After many negotiations with the owners, she was able to acquire the space and have the wall knocked out.

Here is the new and improved Elle La La!

The Water Bungalow Tour

Hello everyone!  Putting this room together was really fun and refreshing.  I was inspired from different Tahiti photos and did my best to recreate a romantic tropical atmosphere for Halle and Dean's honeymoon bungalow.

The scrapbook and craft paper were all picked up from Hobby Lobby.  On the walls are the 'Wood Fence' sheets and the sheet on the floor is the 'Burlap'.

The window view is from an old calendar and the window frame was created using a few craft sticks.

I put together all the furniture pieces, added a delightful welcome basket and arranged the flowers to make it more cozy.

All three wall paintings were made using scrapbook and craft paper.

I'm happy with how everything turned out and I hope you enjoyed this tour!

Wedding Day Hotel Room Tour

Dean and Halle will be married at The St. Regis New York hotel and this diorama was inspired from one of their actual hotel rooms.

The outside and lobby of the St. Regis.

The Tour Begins!

I did a tutorial on the flower arrangements on a previous post.  You can find it here:

I would like to also say thank you for the support and patience.  I know the wedding was suppose to happen in August and it didn't.  I'm working overtime on it now and truly appreciate you for sticking around and understanding.  I apologize for the delay.♥

Airport and Bridal Shop

So, I'm getting back into the swing of things and these are a few setups I've been working on.  They're for the upcoming episodes in the Dollies Series.

The airport waiting/boarding area.

The bridal shop, where Halle has a way overdue appointment!  I'm getting there :)

Dermatologist Office Room Tour

There isn't a whole lot going on in this room, but I wanted to provide a room tour.
It may offer some tips and ideas.

This is where Melissa Middlebrooks works and she's been
working as a dermatologist for over seven years.

Two of the walls are covered with scrapbook paper and the third is the bare foam board, which was used to construct the room.

The desk was a do it yourself and the chair is from the 'Barbie Dinner To Dessert Dining Set' spray painted white.

Wall painting was printed, cut out and taped up.

The door is a piece of foam board and the table was wood glued together from 5 small pieces of wood scraps, then painted.

Finally, the counter is a recipe box (picked up from the thrift shop!), covered with a sheet of scrapbook paper and a slice of foam board placed on top.

The scrapbook paper and foam board were both glued on using a glue stick.

Office Tour ~ Halle's Boutique

Hello everyone.
I just wanted to give a quick tour of Halle's office. This is one of the newer dioramas.

The sofa was a huge part of my inspiration for the room, since I had already planned on moving it from the front of the boutique to the back. I replaced the sofa with a glass shelf (formerly a small jewelry case) that was found at the thrift shop.

The memo board was a do it yourself.

The chair is from the pop life barbie set.

The desk was a do it yourself and it's similar to the do it yourself kitchen island that I posted some time back. The only two differences, is that the shelves are a bit shorter
and the top is a bit longer.

The wood shelf against the wall and the large vase were also thrift shop finds. Finally, the carpet is actually a sheet of 12x12 craft paper picked up at Michael's.
