Days Later...

Jessie's Place

Carissa and Jessie have lunch.

 

 

They've been spending their free time together.

 

 

The Boutique

Halle hires a new employee.

 

Halle- "Welcome to the team!"

Poppy- "Thank you!"

 

 

Alex's Place

Halle stops by after work.  As they talk, she helps Alex look for dancing gigs.

Alex- "Ugh, why couldn't Ethan have relaxed?"

Halle- "Sounds like you miss him."

 

Alex- "A little."

Halle- "So does that mean there's reconciliation in the mist?"

Alex- "Heck no!  He and I are done."

 

Alex- "But I do like the guy.  I...you know...um, hope that he finds what he's looking for."

 

A Bit Later

Together they've found 5 dance auditions and then...

 

Halle- "How about this?"

Alex- "What is it?"

Halle- "It's an acting gig for an independent movie.  They're looking for a blonde leading lady, between 21 and 29."

Alex- "Halle, I haven't done acting in years."

Halle- "Yeah, but you still have experience.  You've done Broadway and not to mention those acting classes."

 

Alex- "I would run to that audition, but I'm not sure if I have enough experience for a leading role.  I don't wanna waste my time."

Halle- "Alex, I've seen you act.  You have more than enough."

 

Alex- "Well, I'll think about it."

Halle- "Make sure you think fast.  Auditions are tomorrow at 1pm.  One day only."

Alex- "Geez!  Hmm, I'll stop by after my model job."

 

The two continue to talk for a while longer.  Then they say goodbye and Halle heads home.

After 10 pm ~ Walking Out

Alex's Place

Halle calls Alex.

Halle- "How did the audition go?"

Alex- "I didn't get it."

Halle- "I'm sorry."

Alex- "It's okay, I'll find others."

They don't talk very long, since Alex senses there's something on Ethan's mind.

Ethan- "I tried to call you today."

Alex- "You called me 7 times.  And I spoke to you 6 of those times, Ethan."

Ethan- "Why didn't you pick up the other time?"

Alex- "I can't pick up every single call.  I was really busy today.  There was a modeling job, then I had to spend hours auditioning.  You have to cut me some slack."

Ethan- "Well, we're still working on this trust thing.  I need to know where you are."

Alex- "Ethan, I am NOT cheating on you."

Ethan- "How do I know that?"

Alex- "Holy crap!  This is exhausting.  I cannot continue to have this same conversation."

Ethan- "And you think that I want to?!"

Alex- "Seems that way to me!"

Ethan- "Alex, I'm really trying here.  But, when you don't answer my calls, WHAT AM I SUPPOSE TO THINK?!"

Alex- "I WAS WORKING!  But you know what, Ethan?  There's an easy fix to this."

Ethan- "Please enlighten me, Alex!"

Alex- "This relationship is over!  You go your way and I'll go mine.  I don't need the stress."

Ethan- "Ugh, fine, I don't need the stress either!"

Alex- "Before you walk out that door, leave my key."

Meanwhile...

Dee and Jay's Sports Bar

Sarisha- "Okay, you've been extra chipper tonight.  What's going on?"

Jessie smiles and says nothing.

The Hospital

Carissa finishes up with a patient and goes to her office.

Carissa- "Oliver, what are you doing here?"

Oliver- "Don't worry.  I'm not here for trouble."

Oliver- "I need to know, why would you do that to my mother and I?"

Carissa- "Um...well, it was too much for me.  Your mother at dinner totally threw me for a loop.  So, I kind of panicked and ran."

Oliver- "I have feelings too.  You called me for this date.  You should have never led me on, Carissa."

Carissa- "You're right and I'm so sorry that I hurt your feelings."

Oliver- "That's it?  You're sorry?  Please don't ever call me again."

Then he turns and...

Walks out the door.

6 o'clock

Halle is home from work (Dean's still working) and Carissa has come over.

They sit outside and talk for a little while.

 

They've shared their stories, Halle about Amber and Carissa talks about her date with Oliver.  They end their conversation with Carissa's night with Jessie.

 

Halle- *grin* "Way to go, Carissa."

Carissa- "I had an amazing time with Jessie, but then I got to thinking...what if spending the night with him wasn't the best idea.  The first time we went out wasn't a shining moment.  But, we remained friends.  But now, with this intimate factor, what if we pursue things and it goes horribly wrong?  There goes a friend.  This was way too irresponsible."

 

Halle- "Carissa, you're one of the most responsible dolls I know.  You're really overthinking this.  It's okay.  It's not the end of the world.  Just have some fun."

 

 

Shane gets a call from Kelly

(They have a date planned for later in the evening.)

 

Shane- "Please don't tell me you can't make it."

Kelly- "I hate to do this again, but work is calling."

 

Shane's a little disappointed- "I understand.  We'll get together some other time."

Kelly- "Sorry Shane."

 

They hang up. 

 

 

Alex at a Dance Audition

 

One of the Talent Casters- "Thank you, we've seen enough.  We'll be posting numbers on the door shortly, so be sure to check for your number to see if you've made it into the show."

 

Alex- "Thanks."

12 Noon

Halle digs out the 'Help Wanted' sign.

 

 

Meanwhile...

 

At Pinnacle, Dean and Olivia talk potential investment opportunities.

 

 

On the other side of Town

 

Alex gets another modeling job, through the model agency.

 

 

Carissa Wakes Up

She grabs her dress and puts it on.

She combs her fingers through her hair to tame the messiness and then finds her way to the restroom.

 

When she's done, she looks for Jessie and finds him in the kitchen.

Carissa- "Hey there."

Jessie gets up.

 

Wrapping his arms around her- "Hey, how did you sleep?"

Carissa- "Wonderful."

Jessie- "Good."

Carissa- "What time is it?"

 

Jessie- "Noon.  How about I order up some lunch?"

Carissa- "That would be nice, but I should go."

Jessie- "So soon?"

Carissa- "Yeah, I know, sorry."

Jessie- "No need to be sorry.  I'll just have to call you later."

Carissa- "Hope so."

They say goodbye.

 

Carissa's Home

She puts her things down,

Says hello to Gigi,

Grabs a shower,

Then checks her messages.  There's one from Halle and a few angry ones from Oliver.

 

She returns Halle's call, but it goes to voicemail.

 

She gets up carrying Gigi with her, lies across the bed and

 

Wonders what to do about Oliver.
